C-TPAT is a government-business initiative designed to ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect the flow of world trade.

C-TPAT stands for "Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism"

The purpose of C-TPAT which was designed by U.S. customs is to provide the highest level of security for goods entering the United States. Unitrans International Corporation is an approved member of the C-TPAT initiative.

To qualify for C-TPAT, companies must conduct a detailed assessment of their supply chain using guidelines created by U.S. Customs and the trade community. A detailed profile and company information must be submitted to authorities as well as a program to enhance security throughout the supply chain in accordance with the given guidelines.
